INFORMATION ABOUT TREATMENT Hello! I am Dr. Mondragon and am a licensed clinical psychologist in Texas. I provide individual therapy for adults (18 years and older) and sessions are 55 minutes long. I am available to meet for in-person appointments at my office in the Woodlands and also provide virtual sessions for anyone living in Texas. I am honored to help people navigate life transitions, stressors, trauma, grief, and symptoms of anxiety and depression that often accompany difficult experiences. I have provided trauma-informed therapy for over a decade, which means I prioritize my clients' experiences of safety, trust, and the quality of relationship they have with me. I provide treatment at a pace that feels helpful (challenging, yet tolerable and safe). Each session is thoughtfully tailored to the personality and current need of the person I am meeting with. I utilize various treatment methods to meet the unique needs of each client I serve. I require a 10-15 minute free phone or video consultation before scheduling a session. During this call, I will ask what goals you have for therapy, collect some basic background information, and answer questions you have about treatment. If we both feel comfortable working together and our schedules align, we will then schedule your first appointment. Please note I am only accepting adult clients and do not currently see children. I do not offer marital or family counseling at this time. Private pay clients are those who choose to pay for services without using insurance. Private pay sessions are $150-$175. The details of those payment will be discussed during the free consultation phone call. I am currently in-network with the following insurance panels: *Aetna *Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas *Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts - (virtual sessions only for clients who live in Texas) *Cigna *Horizon Blue Cross and Blue Shield of New Jersey - (virtual sessions only for clients who live in Texas) *Quest Behavioral Health For more information about how to use your insurance and what you would be responsible to pay as a co-pay, please copy and paste the link below into your browser. If you have other questions, please feel free to email, text, or call me. I look forward to hearing from you! INFORMATION ABOUT DR. MONDRAGON I have been providing therapy since 2007 and completed my PhD in Clinical Psychology in 2012, which included a one year internship at the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center (MEDVAMC) in Houston. After graduating, I completed a postdoctoral fellowship at MEDVAMC, with an emphasis on treating trauma and anxiety. I worked in private practice for several years in Pittsburgh, PA and started my private practice here in Texas in 2020. I have a wide range of experience working with adults who have experienced trauma, depression, anxiety, loss, complex grief (multiple, traumatic losses) and relationship problems. It’s an honor to support my clients on their journey toward healing. I have also seen many clients who have wanted support during common life transitions (such as career changes, marriage, divorce, illness, becoming a parent, re-evaluating life during mid-life, etc.). I have a special place in my heart for clients who work through trauma and have worked with many clients to heal the impacts of sexual, physical, emotional, and/or combat trauma. If you are considering beginning therapy to address trauma in your life, I would welcome the opportunity to work with you. My approach is client-centered, meaning I work at a pace that is comfortable for you and I believe this is especially important when it comes to healing from trauma. Therapists can use a wide range of approaches when working with clients. I utilize humanistic, relational and attachment therapies, as well as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). These approaches assume that your relationship with yourself (the way you think and feel about yourself, emotions you experience, and the degree to which you trust yourself) is one that will become healthier and more meaningful as you identify and experience emotions in the safe space therapy provides.
